How to use this guide

How to make the most out of your trip to Modex!

For many folks Modex is the biggest event of the year.

With nearly 1200 exhibitors and a million square feet of exhibit space and 4 days in Atlanta, how do you make it productive and fun at the same time?

Pro Tip

New Show Hours!

In breaking with a 20+ year tradition of opening MHI show floors at 10am, Modex 2024 will open at 9am.

At least for Hall A. Halls B and C will open earlier on Thursday only. Also, the last day, Thursday is always slow, but now the hall will close 2 hours earlier at 1pm.

What (robot) booths to visit

Are you interested in new robotic technology for your warehouse or distribution center?

Modex is the place to see the new tech and meet the providers. Whether you are looking for AMRs, Drones, Goods to Person robots, pallet robots, articulate arm picking or drones, Robot Advisors can help with a custom color coded map of the show floor.

We call it the self guided Robot Tour™.

Simply tell the system what types of Robotic Automation you are interested in and the system will build you a map of each of the 3 Halls at the Georgia World Congress Center with color coded stops at their booths for each type of Robot. Get started here.

Where to stay

At this point I hope you have your rooms booked for Modex. If not, do it right away.

We at Robot Advisors likes to stay as close to the action as we can. This year we are staying at the Glenn Hotel because it is an easy walk to the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) and downtown/Peachtree with all the restaurants.

Other close hotels not on the official show site that are even closer are the Omni GWCC, Hyatt Place Centennial Park and the Signia by Hilton. Most folks stay in the collection of hotels in the downtown/Peachtree area and Modex offers free shuttle buses.

Check the Modex booking site as well as hotels.com and maybe Airbnb. The further away from the GWCC the less you will have to pay.

How to get around

Don’t rent a car for Modex unless you are staying out of town (Buckhead, airport area or outside I285).

Even then you should take MARTA, Atlanta’s light rail system so you don’t have to deal with Atlanta traffic and parking. We recommend staying walking distance from GWCC or on one of the 5 complimentary bus routes. Bus route information is available here.
