Automated Storage and Retrieval System

Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) use computer-controlled equipment to store and retrieve inventory from designated storage locations. These systems are commonly used to increase storage density, reduce manual travel, and improve inventory accuracy in warehouses and distribution centers.

ASRS solutions can take many forms, including pallet cranes, shuttle systems, vertical lift modules, and automated tote storage. The appropriate technology depends on the size and weight of the products being handled, the required throughput, and the available building space.

One of the most important considerations is how the system integrates with the rest of the warehouse. Inventory must move efficiently between storage, picking, replenishment, and shipping operations. A well-designed ASRS can significantly reduce labor requirements and improve space utilization, but the surrounding processes must be designed to support the system’s capacity.

Autonomous Mobile Robot

Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) are self-navigating vehicles used to move materials through warehouses and manufacturing facilities. Unlike traditional automated guided vehicles that typically follow fixed routes, AMRs use sensors, mapping, and navigation software to travel through dynamic environments.

AMRs can transport pallets, cases, totes, and other materials between receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping areas. Some systems work alongside warehouse employees, while others perform transportation tasks with minimal human intervention.

The flexibility of AMRs makes them attractive for facilities where workflows change or where installing fixed conveyor infrastructure would be expensive. However, the benefits depend on factors such as travel distances, traffic congestion, fleet size, charging requirements, and integration with warehouse management systems.

Humanoid Robot

Humanoid Robot

Humanoid robots are sophisticated machines designed to mimic human form, movement, and behavior. Equipped with advanced AI, robotics, and sensory systems, these robots are capable of understanding, interacting, and learning from their environments—making them ideal partners in workspaces, healthcare, education, and beyond.

Inventory Drone

Inventory Drone

Inventory drones are an exciting new development in the arena of warehouse automation. They are one of the least capital intensive ways to get new robotic technology into the warehouse and they can have a significant impact on reserve pallet inventory accuracy.

Pick and Place Robot

Pick and Place Robot

Pick and Place Robots, sometimes called robot arms, are a useful solution to replace the repetitive task of placing items into an order or a completed small order into a shipping destination. Like all robotic automation we tend to focus on the mechanical aspects of the solution first, namely the arm itself. There are other important components to the solution in addition to the arm.

Truck Unloading Robot

Truck Unloading Robot

Truck unloading robots are an exciting new development in the arena of warehouse automation. There are two basic types of trucks that need unloading in warehouse operations. Trucks or trailers that are floor loaded and simply include a stack of boxes loaded in the vehicle, and trailers that have palletized loads on them.
