What are Palletizing and Depalletizings?
Palletizing robots automatically arrange cases or products onto pallets for storage and transportation. Depalletizing robots perform the reverse operation, removing products from pallets and transferring them into warehouse processes.
These systems often use robotic arms equipped with vacuum, mechanical, or other specialized gripping tools. Vision systems can help identify products and determine appropriate handling positions.
The difficulty of the application depends on product variety, case weight, pallet patterns, and the condition of incoming loads. Mixed-SKU pallets and irregularly stacked products generally require more sophisticated perception and planning than uniform loads.
